Sunlit attic with an open trunk of family photographs

Private family websites

Bring the family attic online.

Photographs, a living family tree, messages, a shared calendar, and the addresses you can never find when you need them — kept together on a site with your family’s name on the door.

Your name, your address

A family site that sounds like home.

During signup you choose a short site id — often a last name — then pick one of the house domains where that name is still free.

https:// yourname.memories.name
https:// yourname.myfamily.name
https:// yourname.inner.family

If schmid.memories.name is taken, you can still claim schmid.myfamily.name or schmid.inner.family. More house domains will be added over time.

What families keep here

Five rooms. One roof.

Family photographs

A private library for the pictures that should not live in a shared camera roll forever.

Family tree

A genealogy you can tend together — names, dates, and the stories that sit between them.

Messages & threads

A quiet place to talk as a family, without the noise of a public network.

Family calendar

Reunions, birthdays, visits, and the things that only matter if everyone can see them.

Household contacts

The phone numbers and addresses that used to live in a drawer, now where the family can find them.

How it works

Open the attic in three steps.

  1. Tell us who you are. Your full name and an email. Then choose how you’ll sign in — a passkey is the preferred door.
  2. Claim a family address. Pick a site id and one of the available house domains.
  3. Invite the household. Customize the banner, welcome relatives, and start keeping what matters.

Privacy, by default

This is not a public square.

Each family site is private to the people you admit. Photographs, trees, and conversations stay in the household — not in a feed for strangers.

  • Passkeys, Google, Apple, or password with email codes
  • Family members can be enabled or set aside by the site owner
  • Platform tools for maintenance, storage, and quiet hours

Founding rates

Simple costs, named like heirlooms.

These are the opening prices while the house is being built. Founding families keep the rate they start on.
